Podiatry is the branch of allied health that focuses on the feet and ankles. We can treat simple problems like cutting thick toenails and healing cracked heels, to performing surgery on ingrown toenails and verrucae. We also can advise sports patients on which shoes are suited to their feet and assist with healing and long term treatment plans for injuries. Podiatrists are also an integral part of caring for patients with diabetes and reducing amputation rates.
