Our vision is an inclusive, connected and thriving community across the wider North East Valley area.
The goal of this community-led development project is to mobilise the valley communities’ strengths and resources into locally-led action to enhance the life, wellbeing and health of the wider valley community – its residents, whanau/family and environment.
The Valley Project aims to work with the community to support people to realise their ideas for their own community, such as our weekly Kai Share programme, the Open Valley Urban Ecosanctuary, community gardens, Valley Voice, monthly crop swap, community-led resilience group, as well as a range of popular community events throughout the year. The Valley Project has five part-time staff.
